The first winner of this prestigious award goes to the owner of the Anatolia Restaurant in Lancaster for allowing smoking. He gets a trip to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in a dodgy submarine.

Before we go anywhere, we always research local restaurants, looking for good and interesting places to eat. TripAdvisor gave this place a good rating.

When we arrived, we chose a table with a view out the front window. It stunk of cigarette smoke. While I moved to another table, my wife went to the Toilet. She quickly came back, saying there was a stink of cigar smoke at the back of the restaurant, including the open kitchen. We left very quickly. As we left, the waiter opened the main door and turned the extractor fan on high.

For those who do not live in Great Britain, smoking in restaurants was banned a long time ago.
