Posts About the Mariana Trench Award

The idea for this award came while my wife and I sat in Gregson’s pub, Lancaster, enjoying the pub and some bevvies. We were bemoaning a restaurant that allowed smoking. TripAdvisor told us that they served excellent Turkish food there. It stunk of cigarette and cigar smoke; we left very quickly.

The winner gets a trip to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in a dodgy submarine. You can guess what happens.

The first winner of this prestigious award is the owner of the restaurant.
