Huddersfield Station Upgrade

19th September 2025

Today I went back to Huddersfield Station to get some more photos of its upgrade, two weeks after I took the last set. A lot has changed; it looks like they are starting to place the new track for platform one into position. The station is due to reopen on Monday 29th September.

The next two photos show the mammoth crawler crane being disassembled, ready for its journey to Dubai. The yellow crane is being used to take it apart.

John William Street is still closed, but the new bridge can now be seen.

Replaced bridge.
