Marsden Moor Fire

The photo shows fire damage to Marsden Moor, caused by last night’s moorland fire. It was a massive blaze, which we could easily see from our front bedroom. If I hadn’t drink partaken, I would have driven up to get some nighttime shots of the fire, it was quite a sight.

The cause is unknown and will probably never be known. It could be Arson. It could be some idiot deciding to have a barbecue up there. Or it could be because the land up on the moor is very dry due to the lack of rain recently.
