Liverpool South Docks

Looking over Bunswick Dock towards the Anglican Cathedral, two.

Last Tuesday I walked along the Riverside Path from Brunswick Station to the Pier Head. On that walk I also took some photos of the remaining South Liverpool Docks. I’ve published some of them in this post.

The above photo shows various boats moored to pontoons in the Brunswick Dock, looking towards the Anglican Cathedral.

The photo below shows the lock giving access to the River Mersey (it’s difficult to photograph this one, unless you are in a boat on the Mersey with a high viewpoint).

At the other end of the dock, I saw some people canoeing.

The Wapping Dock, shown below, is one of the docks connecting the Brunswick Dock with the Royal Albert Dock. Behind the warehouse on the right of the photo, you will find the Baltic Fleet pub, it’s well worth a visit. It serves excellent real ale and has been in the good beer guide for ages (warning, it only takes cards).

The two photos below show moorings for canal boats on the Salthouse Dock, which is adjacent to the Royal Albert Dock.
